Five designated Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act courts in Gujarat have issued production warrants against Mustaffa Dossa, younger brother of Mohammed Dossa, the prime accused in the 1993 bomb blast case.

The warrants have been issued by TADA courts in arms seizure cases registered against Mustaffa in Valsad, Jamnagar, Porbander, Bharuch and Ahmedabad.

The warrants were sent to the registrar of TADA court in Mumbai since Mustaffa was an accused in the 1993 bomb blast case and was currently facing trial. However, P D Kode, the designated TADA judge in Mumbai, has refused to send Mustaffa to Gujarat for trial in arms seizure cases on the ground that his presence was required in the 1993 bomb blast case, which was nearing completion.

The court was of the opinion that Mustaffa could be tried in Gujarat once the judgment in 1993 bomb blast case was delivered. Mustaffa had been absconding after the 1993 bomb blasts. He was deported from Dubai in 2003 and is facing the charge of participating in the conspiracy behind the 1993 serial blasts, and transporting arms and ammunition from Gujarat to Mumbai prior to explosions.
