The relatives of 54 such missing armed forces personnel will hold a peace march in the capital on October 2 and will meet President A P J Abdul Kalam urging him to create a special cell, attached to the Ministry of External Affairs, which will take up the case of POWs in Pakistan.
"We have not directed our resources properly or made any concerted efforts to bring back our brothers. Kuwait formed a separate ministry to bring back its 600 POWs from Iraq. Our government should also create a special cell that is dedicated to bringing back our POWs from Pakistan," Bharatiya Janata Party member Navjot Singh Sidhu told a press conference in New Delhi.

Sidhu, who will take part in the peace march, said, "It is the government's responsibility to bring back the heroes. How can they forget the people who made such big sacrifices for the nation."
The family members of the 54 missing defence personnel were also present at the press conference.
