Flights normal at Delhi airport
September 17, 2005 10:49 IST

Despite incessant rains, flight operations at Delhi airport were back to normal on Saturday.

Airport sources said the strong and gusty winds, which had made it difficult for incoming flights to land through major part of Friday, were missing this morning.

Over 20 flights were diverted or delayed for several hours due to highspeed winds of about 40 knotts velocity on Friday.

While windspeed of 15 knotts is considered normal for flight operations by air traffic control, beyond 30 knotts is strong.
