Shiv Sena leader Madhukar Sarpotdar will be the party's nominee from the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency where by-poll is slated for November 19.
Satpotdar will be filing his nomination papers either tomorrow or the day after, a senior Sena leader told PTI in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena executive president Uddav Thackeray, who is in Pune, is expected to make the formal announcement on Satpotdar's candidature in Mumbai.
Congress has fielded Priya Dutt, daughter of former Union Minister, late Sunil Dutt, for the seat.
