The proposal to send relief goods to Jammu and Kashmir was made by the chairman of Pakistan's Kashmir Committee, Hamid Nasir Chattha, to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, an official press release said.
Chattha informed Aziz that the government-backed Kashmir Committee has decided to send a planeload of relief goods for the earthquake
The Pakistan prime minister in turn appreciated the Kashmir Committee's role in highlighting the Kashmir cause, the release said.
'Pakistan was committed to a peaceful, just and equitable solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people,' Aziz said.
He also emphasised the need for all three stakeholders to the Kashmir dispute -- Pakistan, India, and Jammu and Kashmir -- to redouble their efforts to find a durable solution to the Kashmir dispute, the release said.
