Bangladesh would send aid, including food, medicine and winter clothing, for India's earthquake victims, Foreign Minister Morshed Khan said in Dhaka on Wednesday. He stated this days after conveying his government's decision to Indian High Commissioner Veena Sikri, who was called to the Foreign Ministry on Monday.

Khan had told Sikri that Dhaka was ready with its aircraft to fly to India with aid for the earthquake victims. The envoy said she would convey it to New Delhi. The aid includes winter clothing, medicine and food.

Last week, Bangladesh sent a C-130 air force plane loaded with blankets, medicine and dry food for the quake victims of Pakistan. More relief materials were sent to Islamabad by Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Pakistan International Airlines.
