Two powerful explosions rocked Kashmir Valley on Saturday leaving over 30 injured.

Six paramilitary central reserve police force troopers were among the injured.

Police said a massive car bomb exploded near the general post office in Anantnag town, south Kashmir, in the afternoon, injuring 20 persons including six CRPF jawans.

The bomb was placed inside a parked Maruti car.

The injured were taken to hospital. Doctors referred eight seriously injured persons to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Police said the militants had intended to target passing CRPF vehicles.
