Anti-Paswan LJP leaders to discuss strategy on Wed

Rebel Lok Janshakti Party leaders, seven of whom have been expelled by party president Ramvilas Paswan, on Tuesday accused him of committing a 'fraud on the people of Bihar'.
 
The rebel MLAs will meet in Patna on Wednesday to decide their future course of action.

The chief of the dissolved Bihar LJP unit, Narendra Singh, termed his and some other party leaders' expulsion as unconstitutional.

"According to party constitution, a show-cause is served to a leader suspected of indulging in anti-party activities and then the matter is referred to a disciplinary committee. The disciplinary committee's recommendation is finally approved by the national executive. But, in the present case, Paswan

gave a go by to the rules and acted like a dictator," Singh said.

Another expelled leader, Munna Shukla, said: "Before Paswan could expel us, we rejected him and went to Jharkhand to discuss government formation under Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar."

Claiming that at least 24 of the 29 LJP MLAs were against Paswan, Shukla said: "We will discuss our next step tomorrow."

The Bihar assembly was dissolved on Monday following the Union government's recommendation to President. The reason cited for the dissolution was the 'horse-trading' being indulged in by opposition National Democratic Alliance in Bihar to form a government.
