Karunakaran floats new party

Dissident Congress leader K Karunakaran on Sunday floated a new party splitting the Congress in Kerala.

The new party has been named the National Congress Indira.

Karunakaran made the announcement at the workers' convention of his faction in Thrissur.

Karunakaran's son Muraleedharan, who was suspended from the Congress recently, will be the new party's president.
