The highest policy-making body of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh will meet in Mangalore from Friday for its three-day annual conclave.

More than 1,200 delegates from the RSS and other parivar organisations will attend the 'Akhil Bharat Pratinidhi Sabha'.

The meet will discuss the current national scenario and pass resolutions on issues such as the initiatives of the United Progressive Alliance government for peace and progress in Kashmir, the situation in Nepal and Naxal violence in the country, RSS sources said.

"The meet will also discuss strategies to proactively counter the onslaught of anti-Hindu and anti-national sentiments on our movement in particular and on vital national interests in general," a senior RSS leader said.

'Exceptional' relief work undertaken by the RSS and its affiliates in tsunami-affected areas will be reviewed and future plans for rehabilitation of the victims will be announced, sources said.

Barring the inaugural address by RSS chief K S Sudarshan, the event will be out of bounds for the media, they added.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Lal Kishenchand Advani and BJP's former president Venkaiah Naidu will attend the conclave. Vishwa Hindu Parishad's Ashok Singhal, Praveen Togadia and Acharya Giriraj Kishore, will be among the other prominent participants.
