Kumaratunga to discuss tsunami aid with India

Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga will begin a two-day official visit to New DelhiĀ on Thursday, officials in Colombo said.

Kumaratunga will hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh andĀ United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

"She will discuss developments in Indo-Lanka relations," the spokesman said, without giving details of the agenda for talks.

The two sides are expected to discuss Sri lanka's controversial plan to enter into a tsunami aid-sharing deal with Tamil Tiger rebels, according to official sources.
