The National Democratic Alliance will launch its Nyay Yatra (March for Justice) in Bihar on July 11, marking the beginning of  its pre-poll campaign for the forthcoming Bihar assembly election in October-November 2005.

This was announced by senior Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar, who is also the chief ministerial candidate of the NDA in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar told newspersons in Patna on Sunday that NDA leaders will urge people to 'support and elect us' to form a working government in the state with the sole aim of overall development.

Kumar said he was hopeful that the NDA will form the next government in the state.

Nitish Kumar said the Nyay Yatra will focus on the injustice done to the JD-U-Bharatiya Janata Party combine when 'the state assembly was dissolved despite the combine having the numbers to form a popular government'. "We will inform and create awareness about the injustice meted out to us," he said.

Nitish said the first phase of the yatra will start from Bagaha in West Champaran district and cover Bettiah, Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Madhubani and Darbhanga in one week. Later on, the yatra will cover other districts across the state.

He said top leaders of both the JD-U and BJP will join the yatra at different places.
