Another kid missing in Bihar

In another case of suspected abduction in Bihar, a student of standard four went missing in Jehanabad district as ten people, including four belonging to the dreaded Chunnu Thakur and Vicky gangs, were susbjected to interrogation in connection with Kislay kidnapping on Sunday.

Ranjan Kumar, a student of Diamond Public School, was suspected to have been kidnapped on January 28.

His guardians had lodged a complaint with Town Police Station in Jehanabad apprehending abduction of Ranjan for ransom, police said.

Ten people, including mother and sister of Vicky, the alleged right hand man of gangster Chunnu Thakur, now lodged in Hajipur jail, were subjected to marathon interrogation in the state capital.

Claiming that a breakthrough had been achieved in the Kislay kidnapping case, police said the abducted boy was likely to be rescued in a day or two.

Earlier, police had taken into custody the wife and the daughter of Chunnu Thakur, facing over 30 serious criminal cases, from Muzaffarpur on Friday night.

Ravikant, a student of DAV Public School, Biharsharif, was kidnapped on January 24, while Dipak Kumar, another student of DAV Public School, Bhagalpur went missing a day later.
