Swapna Modak, the wife of a police officer in Kolkata, was arrested on Friday for allegedly running a prostitution racket in the city, police sources said.
Modak is accused of running a call girl ring from a beauty parlour on Camac Street.
Fourteen women and two men arrested in a recent raid on the beauty parlour, the sources said.
All the accused were produced before a city court and were remanded to judicial custody till February 10.
The sources added that more raids were likely as a number of beauty parlours in the city are prostitution joints.
