The Justice Nanavati Commission report on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots will be made public in due course, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said on Thursday.

Asserting that there is "nothing to hide" in the report, Patil said: "There is nothing that we would be shy of. We know how we had conducted ourselves and how our leaders had conducted themselves. There is nothing to hide," Patil said.

He said everything that has been said in the report will come out as per the set procedure. "There is a procedure which has to be followed when the inquiries are constituted, when the reports are submitted and when the reports are examined by the government," Patil said.

The Nanavati Commission of Inquiry submitted a 185-page report to the government on Wednesday.

The anti-Sikh riots, which left over 3000 dead, had followed the assassination of the then prime minister Indira Gandhi by her security guards.
