The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its orders on the issue of shifting Rashtriya Janata Dal member of Parliament Pappu Yadav, an accused in a murder case, from Beur jail in Patna to some other prison as he had abused the facilities given to a prisoner.

The Central Bureau of Investigation, which investigated the murder of Communist Party of India (Marxist)'s Ajit Sarkar, insisted that Yadav be shifted out of Bihar and lodged in a prison with video-conferencing facility.

The court directed the CBI to seize all papers from the Patna medical college pertaining to the treatment given to Yadav while he was lodged in the prison ward of the hospital.

Also taking note of the visit of Yadav to Madhepura during the last parliamentary elections while being in judicial custody, the court asked the district judge to furnish within two weeks all relevant judicial papers pertaining to Yadav in connection with the visit.

The court posted to February 17 further hearing on the matter.
