Bihar to set up Land Reforms Commission

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced setting up of a "Land Reforms Commission" in the state for effective  implementation  of  much delayed land reforms.

Nitish Kumar was talking to newspersons in Patna. Thursday at the time of release of the Common Minimum Programme
of the National Democratic Alliance.

He said the main objective of the land reforms commission would be to distribute surplus government lands among landless poor people.

The commission will work to identify the lands, which will be distributed among the landless poor.
