Notwithstanding her expulsion, Uma Bharti has written to Bharatiya Janata Party President L K Advani, alleging unprecedented "fall in ideological standards" in the party and demanded corrective measures to set things right.

In the letter dated December 7, the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister took strong objection to a party leader from the state comparing her to Monica Bedi, girlfriend of underworld don Abu Salem.

On the "sad" developments (regarding her) since November 28, she asked Advani not to see these from the point of view of "organisational law and order or within the ambit of superficial discipline."

"Since the days of Bharatiya Jan Sangh till now, we have gone through various phases but there has never been fall in ideological standards as now, that too when lakhs of workers are standing by their personal conviction," Bharati said in her letter.

Attacking "those few people (in the BJP) whose ideology and principles do not match the party," she said because of their sitting in key positions, Captain Singh Solanki, who attacked her, was displaying his lack of ideological discipline.

"Crossing all limits of morality", Bharati said Solanki has given a statement that there was nothing unusual about huge crowds being seen at her programmes as crowds get collected even for Monica Bedi.

"Who am I and who is Monica Bedi? Solanki could not have the judgement about this," she said, adding on her behalf, the womenfolk of Madhya Pradesh will give a reply to Solanki on this.
