A Central Bureau of Investigation team on Friday morning raided residences of government officials all over Bihar as part of its anti-corruption drive. The team has also arrested a custom department officer in connection with corruption charge in Patna.

Official sources in the CBI office in Patna said that the team had raided several places in Bhagalpur, Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and other districts.

"The CBI raids by seven separate teams are still going on at several places in the state and likely to continue the entire day," officials said.

The CBI officials said it was the first time that it had carried out raids on such a scale in the entire state at the same time.

However, CBI officials said that they would only be able to say anything on recoveries during raids by afternoon. "We are also waiting for details about raids," they said.
