Poachers poison 30 peacocks to death

At least 30 peacocks in Salabhari forest in Barabanki died after suspected poachers fed them with edibles containing poison on Sunday, police sources said on Monday.

Irate villagers later beat the two accused, they said. However, the poachers fled before police reached the scene.
