At least 23 people were killed and 37 injured when a truck in which they were traveling overturned near Khurd village, 16 km from Morena in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
The mishap occurred when around 60 vehicles carrying followers of Baba Jai Gurudev from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh were proceeding to Ambah, MP.
One of the trucks overturned while negotiating a sharp turn near Kwari River, Additional District Magistrate M K Agrawal said.
Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the victims. The injured have been admitted to the Morena district hospital, he said.
