Barely two days before the first run of the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service, the Border Security Force on Tuesday recovered two powerful improvised explosive devices in Pattan area along the route, a BSF spokesman said.

The IEDs, weighing 70 kg and 60 kg and kept in polythene bags on the roadside, were detected by 55 Battalion's road opening party at Palhalan, 30 km from Srinagar, in Baramulla district, the spokesman said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to flag off the first Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus on April 7.

On Saturday, the BSF had recovered 117 kg of explosives from Arampora-Sopore, 55 km from Srinagar, off the route.
