Manickchand gutka owner Rasiklal Manickchand Dhariwal, wanted for his alleged links with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has arrived in India from Dubai

He landed in Pune on Thursday morning.

"I had promised I will present myself for questioning before the CBI. Hence, as per my promise, I have come to be questioned by the CBI on April four. The matter, which is pending for hearing before the Supreme Court, is listed on the board for April 11," Manickchand, who emerged from his office at 2210 IST told reporters.

Asked why he was hiding in Dubai, Dhariwal said, "I will tell the CBI everything on April 4."

A Mumbai court had issued non-bailable warrants against Dhariwal and Goa Gutka owner J M Joshi for their alleged underworld links.

Joshi returned to India sometime back and appeared before the CBI for interrogation and underwent two lie-detection tests.

Joshi has denied any links with Dawood Ibrahim or his brother Anees Ibrahim.

The CBI has registered a case against four persons, including Anees Ibrahim, for allegedly smuggling gutka manufacturing machinery to Karachi and for extortion. The cases were registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Arms Act and the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.

Questioned by reporters about his connections with the underworld as alleged by Joshi, who was his one-time partner, Dhariwal said, "Why do you people do this? I have no comments to offer. I have no connection with the underworld whatsoever and will say everything that I know to the CBI."
