Asserting that Pakistan has not given up its demand for a plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir, President Pervez Musharraf on Saturday said Delhi and Islamabad must step back from their stated positions and show flexibility to resolve the Kashmir dispute.
"There
is no change in our position. We have not given up our stand on implementation of the UN resolutions to resolve Kashmir issue. Both countries have to step back and meet half way," he said addressing a meeting of South Asia Free Media Association.
Without naming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his assertion that J&K is an inalienable part of India, Musharraf said "the vibes coming from India are not encouraging."
