The United States on Thursday offered a $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Mustafa Setmariam Nasar, an Al Qaeda operative who ran a terrorist training camp in Afghanistan.

Also known as Abu Musab al-Suri, Nasar, a Syrian with dual Spanish nationality, he trained terrorists in poisons and chemicals, the state department said.

In September 2003, he was among 35 people named in an indictment handed down by Spanish court for terrorist activities connected to the Al Qaeda.

Ten of the 35, including Osama bin Laden, the outfit's chief, were charged with planning the 9/11 attacks and using Spain as a base.
