Two top commanders of Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were among the five militants killed in Wednesday's gunfight with security forces in a mosque in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
The LeT militant was identified as district commander Adil Khan. His two Pakistani accomplices, Majid Hamza and Baba Ali, were also killed when a crack team stormed the mosque.
The Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants were identified as battalion commander Javid Ahmad Mir of Kawni village and a local, Jehangir.
Mir was a Pakistan-trained militant, sources said, while Jehangir had joined the outfit only a few days back.
