Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has rejected an invitation to have dinner with top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The dinner meeting was supposed to take place on Tuesday night at a five-star
hotel in suburban Andheri in Mumbai.
Thackeray told a TV channel that he would not like to discuss politics with Vajpayee and other senior BJP leaders over dinner. "I wish to talk to Vajpayeeji alone, and if required I would visit him in Delhi and discuss." Thackeray said.
