A sessions court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to film director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is facing charges of raping a model-turned-actress and threatening to kill her.
Principal Judge R R Vachha said that in the event of Bhandarkar's arrest, he should be released on a bail of Rs 20,000
with one or two sureties of same amount.
The judge, however, directed Bhandarkar to appear at the concerned police station regularly and not leave the city.
