The progress in the Indo-Pak composite dialogue process came up for discussion today between External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and Pakistan Prime Minister Shujaat Hussain.

Singh, currently attending SAARC Foreign Ministers' conference here, called on Hussain along with other members of the Indian delegation. Singh and Hussain, who recently assumed office as Pakistan's interim Prime Minister, exchanged views on the progress in the composite dialogue process, officials said.

Inaugurating the SAARC ministerial conference yesterday, Hussain, who will be replaced by Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz after his election to the National Assembly, said Pakistan has embarked upon making a meaningful effort to resolve all differences with India, including on Kashmir.

Singh called on Hussain after he had a 90-minute meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri. He is scheduled to meet Aziz tomorrow and President Pervez Musharraf on Friday, before leaving for India.
