"A three-and-a-half-year-old
female leopard was trapped in front of the Forest Gate on Darbar Road near Mulund Colony on Monday night," a senior forest official said.

The cage at the Mulund Colony was one of the 35 set up by forest authorities in and around the national park following increased attacks by leopards on humans.

All the trapped leopards would be relocated in the forests of eastern Maharashtra, the sources added.

Fourteen people have been killed in leopard attacks in Mumbai this year.
