Congress president Sonia Gandhi will release a commemorative stamp on former Union minister Murasoli Maran at a function in Chennai on August 17, the late leader's 69th birth anniversary.
DMK president M Karunanidhi
told reporters that Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will release a special postal cover on the occasion.
The DMK chief himself will unveil a statue of the leader at the office of 'Murasoli,' a party organ, that day.
