The condition of two-and-half year-old Noor Fatima, the Pakistani child on whom an open-heart surgery was performed at a Bangalore hospital, is 'stable', hospital sources said on Wednesday.
"The baby is quite stable with all her vital parameters doing fine. She will be taken off the ventilator after her progress is reviewed sometime in the afternoon," said sources at the Narayana Hrudayalaya, where the surgery lasting nearly six hours was conducted on Tuesday.
Noor arrived in Bangalore with her parents, Nadeem Sajjad and Tayyaba Nadeem, on Saturday and was admitted to the cardiac speciality hospital.
She was born with several holes in her heart. There was also obstruction to the blood flow to her lungs.
The toddler was the cynosure of all eyes when the bus from Lahore to Delhi made its maiden journey on July 11.
