Karnataka asked to release water

The Cauvery River Authority on Monday directed Karnataka to release 4,500 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu per day for three more days.

After three days, Karnataka will release water as per the interim order of the Cauvery Water Tribunal, Water Resources Minister Arjun Charan Sethi said after a meeting of the CRA chaired by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
