Kerala Chief Minister and Congress Working Committee member A K Antony on Wednesday said the crisis in the state Congress over the candidate issue for the recently held Rajya Sabha poll had been 'more or less resolved'.

"The Congress high command will announce the decision on the matter," Antony told reporters after a cabinet meeting in Thiruvananthapuram.

The chief minister said nobody should make political calculations, based on this crisis. "The Congress party is one that settles inner party issues in a democratic way."

To a question, Antony said he did not agree with KPCC president K Muraleedharan's statement that infighting had 'stalled' the working of the government. "Some time was lost due to these problems," he said.

The crisis in the Congress was triggered after senior leader K Karunakaran fielded a rebel candidate against two official Congress nominees for the Rajya Sabha polls.

Though the official nominees won the election, the rebel candidate bagged 26 votes.
