Bharatiya Janata Party members were evicted from the Karnataka assembly on Thursday after the speaker suspended them till the end of the session. They had blocked proceedings of the house for the second day over the issue of the killing of former state minister H Nagappa.

As soon as the house met, BJP members raised slogans against the S M Krishna government blaming it for the death of Nagappa.

Speaker M V Venkatappa ordered their eviction after having suspended them till December 31, when the session is slated to end.

BJP members raised slogans like Congress hatao as several of them were removed from the house by the watch and ward staff.

BJP members had blocked proceedings in the assembly on December 24 demanding resignation of Krishna, Home Minister Mallikarjun Kharge and Minister for Agro-Processing Raju Gowda and a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation into the killing of Nagappa. In the Legislative Council, the BJP members were suspended and evicted from the house on Tuesday for blocking proceedings and for their disorderly behaviour.
