One more body was found on Tuesday noon in the Changdi forest area under Ramapura police station limits in Karnataka. It is believed to be that of a police informer named Raja who was reported missing a few days back.

His body was reportedly found within two hundred metres from the spot where Janata Dal (United) leader H Nagappa's body was found on Saturday, sources in the STF said.

The Karnataka STF is believed to have found the body while combing the forest. It is said to be in a highly decomposed state. It would be shifted to Ramapura, STF sources said.

Karnataka STF chief Jyothi Prakash Mirji is expected to visit the spot where the body was found.

This development has deepened the mystery behind Nagappa's death.

In his sixth cassette, Veerappan said he had to abandon Nagappa in the forest on Thursday when his gang came across a team of the Tamil Nadu STF. He even claimed to have seen Nagappa being hit by a bullet.

Advising Nagappa's family members to look for him in the forest, he said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa should be held responsible if any harm came upon Nagappa.
