While Sonam Kapoor is playing blind in Sujoy Ghosh's Blind, Taapsee Pannu goes sightless in Blurr, a suspense thriller about twin sisters.

Taapsee's latest is adapted from Guillem Morales's Spanish film Julia's Eyes, a taut 2010 suspense thriller.

This is the first double role for Taapsee. But not her first Spanish remake. Taapsee played the lead in Sujoy Ghosh's Badla, a remake of the Spanish film The Invisible Guest, directed by Oriol Paulo.

Interestingly, Paulo has a Blurr connection as well. He wrote Julia's Eyes, on which Taapsee's Blurr is based.

Blurr is directed by Ajay Bahl who has been struggling to put a project together since Section 375, the 2019 courtroom drama that starred Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadda and Meera Chopra.

Gulshan Devaiah, who plays Taapsee's leading man in Blurr, says, "I am excited to be doing this film. And happy to be working in these difficult times."
