Salman Khan's fans have a special reason to celebrate Eid, since the superstar prefers to release his movies during this festival.

This year, too, he has Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai coming up for release. Due to the pandemic, it will release directly on the OTT platform.

But why does Salman want to release his movie during Eid?

Because they are super successful at this time, of course!

Joginder Tuteja lists how much money Salman's Eid releases have made over the years.

Bharat, 2019
Box office collection: Rs 211.07 crore

While 2020 was a no-show for the country, the year before saw the release of Bharat.

The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer took a very good opening of Rs 42.30 crore (Rs 423 million), but in days to come, it slowed down.

Eventually, of course, it did enter the Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) club.

Race 3, 2018
Box office collection: Rs 169 crore

'Even my flops do a business of over Rs 160 crore,' Salman had famously said, and rightly so.

Race 3 is definitely not among the films even his die-hard fans would watch.

But they did turn up in great numbers when the film released, and that allowed Race 3 to go past the Rs 100 crore milestone in the first weekend itself.

Tubelight, 2017
Box office collection: Rs 120 crore

Tubelight was a wrong release at the right time.

An offbeat film, Kabir Khan's directorial was not commercial cinema and certainly not what Bhai's fans were expecting during Eid.

Sultan, 2016
Box office collection: Rs 301.50 crore

Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan, co-starring Anushka Sharma, had a high dose of drama, good performances, wonderful music and dramatic wrestling sequences that totally did the trick.

No wonder it remains popular even today.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan, 2015
Box office collection: Rs 321 crore

The biggest Eid blockbuster of all time, Bajrangi Bhaijaan touched the heartstrings, and how.

A unique story of a man trying to reunite a Pakistani child with her parents, Kabir Khan's emotional drama with chartbuster music made for a supremely entertaining watch.

The unique title brought in communal harmony too.

Kick, 2014
Box office collection: Rs 232 crore

This was the time when Salman was setting box office records year after year. So so when Kick hit the screens, it was a roaring success too.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala turned director for this action drama with romance and comedy that co-starred Jacqueline Fernandez.

Even though Eid fell on Monday in 2014, the start over the weekend set the stage for it to score.

Ek Tha Tiger, 2012
Box office collection: Rs 199 crore

Ek Tha Tiger *just* missed entering the Rs 200 crore club.

When Kabir Khan decided to make the espionage thriller, he added a romantic angle by introducing Katrina Kaif as an ISI agent.

Salman suited the R&AW agent part well and together, the team ensured that audiences came back for its sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai.

Bodyguard, 2011
Box office collection: Rs 149 crore

A remake of the namesake Malayalam film, Bodyguard brought Salman opposite Kareena Kapoor.

A romantic film, it had Hazel Keech in a key role.

Himesh Reshammiya's song Teri Meri was one of the key highlights of this action entertainer, directed by Siddiqui.

It went on to be a blockbuster.

Dabangg, 2010
Box office collection: Rs 140 crore

It was Dabangg that made Salman's releases synonymous with Eid.

While Dabangg was being made, it was just another masala movie that Salman wanted to do after Wanted.

But the film went on to gain a cult status for itself and post its release, Salman's character Chulbul Pandey became legendary.

It was a blockbuster and spawned two sequels.
