That the man she is in love with, for whom she turned from the bold, independent, sassy Veronica (Deepika Padukone) to trying to become a copy of her best friend, the sweet, innocent Meera (Diana Penty), prefers the latter.

Her heartbreak spews out in cruel words as Deepika, who is more Meera than Veronica in real life, makes a last-ditch, ill-fated attempt to hold on to Saif Ali Khan towards the end of Cocktail.

We got to see a new side of Deepika in the film and the star explains how that happened.
