Ajay Devgn has had a fantastic run at the box office recently.

Ever since the release of 2017's Golmaal Again, the superstar has scored five back-to-back Rs 100 crore club hits.

Out of these, two have entered the Rs 200 crore club, something which highlights the consistency the actor has been enjoying over the years.

Joginder Tuteja celebrates Devgn's 51st birthday on April 2 by looking at his biggest superhits in recent times.

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior
Box office collections: Rs 280 crore

This one has hit the roof, and how!

With the kind of good reviews and word of mouth publicity that has come its way, Tanhaji minted moolah at the box office.

Amongst the biggest Bollywood hits ever, this one touched Rs 280 crore.

Golmaal Again
Box office collections: Rs 205.70 crore

Devgn's first Rs 200 crore blockbuster, Golmaal Again has carried forward Rohit Shetty's comedy franchise with yet another superhit.

This one brought in a horror angle too, and still managed to entice children and family audiences.

Rest assured, the team will be back with yet another installment in the franchise.

Total Dhamaal
Box office collections: Rs 154.23 crore

Devgn entered the Dhamaal franchise in the third installment and took it to the next level.

Total Dhamaal turned out to be a biggie, which opened well and went past the Rs 150 crore mark.

A laugh riot by Indra Kumar, it saw the actor in a comic avatar and appealed to the children.

Singham Returns
Box office collections: Rs 140 crore

Singham Returns remains the biggest opener ever for Devgn.

Back in 2014, it had taken a terrific opening of Rs 32 crore.

Now given the kind of legacy this Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty franchise carries, it won't be surprising if Singham 3 opens way higher.

Golmaal 3
Box office collections: Rs 106 crore

Before Golmaal Again, Golmaal 3 created magic at the box office.

Devgn has been enjoying his Goa time out with Rohit Shetty and team with the Golmaal series and this third in the series was no different.

A comfortable entrant in the Rs 100 crore club, it was the first of the franchise to achieve this feat.

Son of Sardaar
Box office collections: Rs 105 crore

Devgn has done quite a few comedies over the years and Son of Sardaar is among them.

Along with Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha, he made sure that audiences lapped up his Diwali release and it past the Rs 100 crore mark.

Back then, the film was also in the news for its clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

De De Pyaar De
Box office collections: Rs 103.50 crore

A romcom with a difference, De De Pyaar De had Devgn playing his age with his leading lady Rakul Preet 25 years younger.

Though it seemed risky to begin with and the opening wasn't as per the high standards set by the superstar, audiences enjoyed it.

Good word-of-mouth ensured that this one added to the long list of Devgn's hits.

Raid
Box office collections: Rs 103.07 crore

Devgn is known for his intense avatars, and audiences especially enjoyed it in Raid.

A plot-based drama that saw Devgn locking horns with Saurabh Shukla, this one was a clean hit with the critics as well as the box office.

Bol BachchanBox office collections: Rs 103 crore

Bol Bachchan was the official remake of Amol Palekar's Gol Mal, albeit with a twist.

This time around, Abhishek Bachchan was seen in a double role and he is equally credited with the film's success.

Bol Bachchan may not have much of a recall value, but it opened well and became a hit.

Shivaay
Box office collections: Rs 100.30 crore

Devgn's labour of love, Shivaay had him don the director's hat as well.

The film saw some high octane action.

Though the dramatic quotient of the film could have been more consistent, it was the action sequences that held audience's attention.

Singham
Box office collections: Rs 100.30 crore

This was the film that started it all for Devgn.

His first Rs 100 crore club superhit, Singham grew rapidly on the basis of word-of-mouth.

A superb action drama entertainer that carries terrific recall value with its characters etched in the memory of audiences till date, Singham set base for the franchise to be built.
