Kartik Aaryan wants to prove himself as one of the best dancers in the Hindi film industry.
His killer moves in a recent Instagram post sees him grooving like a pro to the sound of Allu Arjun's dance number Butta Bomma composed by S Thaman and sung by Armaan Malik for the Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Shradha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh have praised the video while Lauren Gottlieb, a superlative dancer herself, commented, 'WHOA! I've never seen a Bollywood actor hit and control moves the way you do. Let's gooooo!!!'
Kartik's pitch-perfect steps suggest a lot of rehearsal behind it, but sources close to the actor pooh-pooh it.
"He is a natural. One of the best dancers among contemporary actors. It's just that the dancing skills have not been tapped extensively in his films. Watch him in his forthcoming films. Kartik will burn a hole in the dance floor," a source tells Subhash K Jha.
Sources say Kartik has signed on the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, but he will not replicate Allu Arjun's spectacular dance moves.
"Kartik will do his own thing," the source says. "With the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, he aims to consolidate his position as a dancing superstar."
