If people have been wondering why Salman Khan has been going out of his way to promote Bitto Boss' Pulkit Samrat, the reason is not just the debutant's talent alone.

It's far deeper than that.

Pulkit's fiancée Shradha Rohira is Salman's raakhi sister.

For those who don't know, Pulkit is a much-committed, much-engaged actor. His soulmate Shradha, who is not linked to the film industry except by her raakhi brother Salman, has been supporting Pulkit in his struggle towards stardom. Shradha even attended Bittoo Boss-related events without anyone knowing her identity.

"Pulkit's fiancee Shradha Rohira is Salman's raakhi sister. Salman has virtually watched her grow up in front of him. To him, she is as precious as his own sisters Alvira and Arpita. When he got to know that Shradha's boyfriend Pulkit was making his large screen debut, he immediately took charge of the boy," says a source.

Pulkit, however, is reluctant to flaunt his Salman connection and his much-engaged status.

"It's true I am in a committed relationship with Shradha. She is Salmanbhai's raakhi sister and that's how he got to know about me," Pulkit says. "I can't even begin to say how blessed I am to have Bhai's support. Last week, he arranged a screening of my film for his friends. I was rubbing my eyes in disbelief when I saw Sooraj Barjatyaji, Prabhu Deva, Boney Kapoorji and Sajid Nadiadwalaji walk in. They were so encouraging. They watched the whole film, and so did Salmanbhai. I'd like to believe it had to do with more than Shradha being his sister."

Opening up on his relationship, Pulkit says, "We met two years ago. As a trainee journalist, she had to spend a day with a television actor. Luckily, that television actor was me. No, it wasn't love at first sight but we fell in love gradually. We are as good as husband and wife. The wedding would be just for the families' sake."
