The year is drawing to a close and the festive season weekend will see the release of four new Tamil films.

The much-delayed Bhooloham starring Jayam Ravi, Suriya’s Pasanga 2 directed by Pandiraj and two lesser known films -- Anjala and Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan.

Which one are you looking forward to?

Anjala

Nandita Swetha’s delightful performance in the recently released Uppu Karuvaadu -- she's also known for her performance in Attakathi -- won her much acclaim. The actress will now be seen opposite Vimal in Anjala.

The film is directed by Thangam Saravanan.

Stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan has produced the film, while his father Super Subbarayan will take care of the action sequences.

The film also features Pasupathy, Imman Annachi and Aadukalam Murugadoss.

Pasanga 2

Director: Pandiraj

After the success of Pasanga and Marina, National award-winning director Pandiraj is back with the third in his children’s series. Titled Pasanga 2, it revolves around children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

The film features Karthik Kumar and Bindu Madhavi in the lead, along with a bunch of kids. Amala Paul and Suriya will be seen in an extended cameo.

Bhooloham

Director: N. Kalyanakrishnan

Cast: Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Prakash Raj

Aascar Film’s Bhooloham will finally hit the screens this weekend after a delay of nearly two years. The producers allegedly landed in trouble after a debt incurred during the shooting was not settled.

The film features Jayam Ravi, who is currently basking in the success of his latest film Thani Oruvan, and Trisha in the lead. This will be Ravi’s fourth release this year.

The film is directed by debutant N Kalyanakrishnan, who formerly assisted director S P Jananathan.

Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan

Director: A. L. Abanindran
