Take your pick.
Looking at the themes and star cast on offer, it's clearly going to be a mixed bag at the theatres this year-end.
Mammootty's Puthiya Niyamam, which was expected to clash with son Dulquer Salmaan's Charlie, has now been shifted to January.
Manju Warrier's Jo & the Boy has also been postponed, as per latest reports.
Nivin Pauly's Action Hero Biju and Prithviraj's Paavada will make the next month pretty crowded.
For now, here are the year-end releases in Malayalam, which will add to the glitter of the Christmas/New Year season.
Two Countries
Director: Shafi
Cast: Dileep, Mamta Mohandas
Shafi is back, hopefully with a bang.
As he teams up with Dileep, it is going to be quite a show. Or that is what we believe. Their two films together, Kalyanaraman and Marykkundoru Kunjaadu, were huge successes.
Mamta Mohandas is the heroine in this comedy, which was extensively shot in Canada.
Charlie
Director: Martin Prakkat
Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy
Martin Prakkat's Charlie is easily one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year.
Not much has been revealed about the storyline but we can say this for sure -- Dulquer Salmaan looks really handsome in his bearded avatar.
Martin made his debut as a director with Mammootty's Best Actor and then directed the hit, ABCD, which saw Dulquer as an NRI.
Parvathy stars opposite Dulquer in Charlie.
Style
Director: Binu S
Cast: Unni Mukundan, Priyanka Kandwal
Despite his macho look, box office success has been eluding Unni Mukundan. He hopes to change the fortune with his next release, Style.
Style, which also stars Priyanka Kandwal, is being directed by Binu S, who surprised us all with his maiden venture, Ithihasa.
Adi Kapyare Kottamani
Director: John Varghese
Cast: Dhyan Sreenivasan, Namita Pramod
A bunch of young actors are teaming up in the laugh riot, Adi Kapyare Koottamani, along with Mukesh who plays a priest.
The story is about the interesting events that follow after a girl comes to a boys' hostel one fine day.
Dhyan Sreenivasan, who was impressive in this year's Kunjiramayanam, teams up with Aju Varghese and Neeraj Madhav for this flick.
Namita Pramod plays Dhyan's love interest.
