The first time Sushmita Sen missed the opportunity to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was when he wanted to cast her as Chandramukhi in Devdas.
The original cast was Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen, Miss World and Miss Universe respectively, as Paro and Chandramukhi.
The cast changed overnight and apparently, Sushmita held no grudges.
After all these years, she was all set to work with Bhansali again, this time courtesy Salman Khan, in Insha Allah.
"There was a guest appearance of Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend, and he recommended Sushmita's name," a source tells Subhash K Jha.
"Bhansali was happy to meet her. They met and everything was in place. But then Insha Allah never happened and there went her opportunity to work with Bhansali"
