'Such a big star and so down to earth.'
Rediff.com Reader Shahed Saleem, 63, from Doha, Qatar, met Shah Rukh Khan in 1992-1993 when he was in charge of taking care of the actor at an event in the city.
What I have learned from the moments I spent with him is that he is very kind, generous and humble.
I still remember when I was driving him around the city, he would acknowledge me by calling me 'Saleembhai'. This truly touched my heart -- such a big star and so down to earth.
While he was leaving back to India, I presented him with a perfume which was not much fancy, but still he accepted it open it heartedly with a genuine smile and thank you.
My wishes and blessings to him and his family.
