"The script for the feature film is more or less ready. An Australian scriptwriter has penned it. But there can still be some improvements and changes before it is finalised," Waugh's manager Robert Joske told newspersons on Wednesday.
Joske said Waugh will act in the full-length feature film, which will be shot in India. "He will be the central cricketer; he will most probably play himself."
Waugh is looking for an Indian filmmaker to direct the movie and an Indian producer to finance it.
Joske elaborated, "It [the film] will be a feel-good one. Udayan and the boys may play a major part in it."
This is Waugh's fifth visit to Udayan in four years. He sponsors the children's home. This time, he has funded the setting up of the girls' wing, Nivedita Bhavan, at Udayan.Waugh to visit Udayan
