Tamil movie star Vijay Sethupathi is giving one outstanding performance after another in multiple languages. And now, it's his turn to give another brilliant performance without using any words!

Vijay is doing a silent film called Gandhi Talks. It will be directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who has made four acclaimed Marathi films.

"I'm doing a Hindi film titled Gandhi Talks where I don't talk at all. It's a silent film," Vijay confirms to Subhash K Jha.

Not because Vijay cannot speak Hindi.

"Meri Hindi kaafi achchi ho gayi hai (my Hindi has improved). I've been working on it for my other project with Raj-DK and a Hindi film directed by Santosh Sivan," he says.

The last time a major actor did a silent film was Kamal Haasan in Singeetham Srinivasa Rao's Pushpak.

"I have always believed that for an actor, silence speaks louder than words. At least, it's true of me. I always feel words come in the way of expressing feelings. I am at my most expressive when I am not speaking."

Vijay's co-star will be Aditi Rao Hydari, who has gone through an entire film -- Sufiyum Sujatayum in Malayalam -- without speaking.
