Neena Gupta and her daughter Masaba threw open the doors of their pristine white home, and allowed us to take a peek.
One of the main reasons why the actress chose this home 18 years ago was the fact that it was a minute away from the beach.
Masaba adds instantly, the neighbourhood's hustle bustle was another factor.
The third edition of Asian Paints' Where the Heart Is brings us glimpses of Neena Gupta's home.
Neena says the best compliment she's received about the house is that it is peaceful.
Neena has her own nook in her house, where she has her morning tea and does her reading.
Masaba likes to lounge on another part of the sofa, where she can see the greenery outside and feel the sea breeze.
Neena has quite a few artifacts at her home, the oldest being the white carving on the top left.
An autographed brush takes pride of place on her wall. It was gifted to her by MF Husain.
Shyam Benegal had also gifted her an antique carving from their Yatra days in the 1980s.
Neena proudly displays the first ever expensive painting she had purchased from actress Lalita Lajmi.
An old-style green door adds colour to their dressing room.
A wall of pictures, books and trophies.
The hallway shows off her achievements, like the National Awards for Best Non-Feature Film for her directorial film Bazar Sitaram and Best Supporting Actress for Woh Chokri.
Neena and Masaba give you a tour of their home in the video below.
