Varun Dhawan to reprise Govinda's role in Aankhen 2

Varun Dhawan, who is an unabashed Govinda fan, is all set to reprise his role in the sequel of the 1993 blockbuster Aankhen.

The film will go on floors in the second half of 2016.

Though Govinda and Chunky Pandey haven't been retained for the sequel, we hear they may make a guest appearance in it.

As for Chunky Pandey’s role, the makers have decided to rope in a newcomer whom producer Pahlaj Nihalani discovered on a flight.

While an official announcement on the long-awaited sequel is awaited, a source close to development reveals, "Aankhen 2 will take the story forward. The main characters Bunnu and Munnu will remain the same but the actors will change."
